Community Christmas Celebrations
This year we were able to celebrate this Christmas Season throughout our programs in the Community. The children displayed their talents through performance of dances, dramas, singing and rhymes. Our FTBK Team distributed small gifts to children and wished them a Happy Season and New Year!

Winter Blanket Distribution
During this 2022 winter season we distributed blankets to 66 children in the Community. The local families of this area have many needs and this support is a great help for them. In this cold season, these blankets will be particularly comforting and help to protect them from the winter challenges. Every recipient was so happy to receive such a valuable gift at this time.

On 16th December 2022, Free To Be Kids Charitable Trust held a First Aid Training Course in our Office Campus. All FTBK staff attended this valuable training that was conducted by the Rotary club of Behala member via Dr. Siddhartha Charkraborty. Dr Charkraborty presented this teaching through an engaging address using a power point presentation, live demos and anecdotes so that each participate could attain a better understand. It was a very effective training for one and we appreciate the time and effort Dr. Charkraborty gave to increase our capacity to keep ourselves, and others, safe.

Education Support in the Community
On the 5th November 2022, a child that is currently being supported by our FTBK Trust, was chosen to participate in a one time Education help from the Rangamala Memorial Development Incentive. This organisation helps underprivileged children for their education support. We were happy to nominate this girl to receive this support which enabled her to purchase a new school dress.

Dengue Awareness
On the 9th November 2022 we ran an awareness program on Dengue Fever within the Salt Lake Slum Community areas. FTBK staff explained to those who attended about Dengue Fever Symptoms, it's cause and treatment. After that FTBK Charitable Trust distributed mosquito nets to the 82 families in the Slum Community.

Youth Computer Course November 2022
FTBK is running Youth Computer Training in the Balarampur Village for the benefit of young people. These Youth attend this training free of cost to help empower them for their studies now and in the future. This training also has the potential to help them in their career as they pursue viable employment. Each Youth that successfully completes this training receives a Certificate to show their accomplishments and to use for their CV. A total of 27 Youth attended this program!

Literacy Program for Women November 2022
FTBK runs this Literacy Program for Women in the Community to help to support them to be able to read and write in Bengali. This skill empowers them to care for themselves and their families in a greater way. Spending time together with other women in the Community is a unique opportunity to bond together and support each other. We are happy to report one of the participants recently let us know that she is now able to confidently sign her own name in the bank rather than just use her thumb impression. We are proud of the way these women are applying themselves to their learning!
