FEBRUARY 2023 LITERACY TRAINING FOR WOMEN

FTBK runs this Literacy Program for Women in the Community to help to support them to be able to read and write in Bengali. This skill empowers them to care for themselves and their families in a greater way. Spending time together with other women in the Community is a unique opportunity to bond together and support each other.  There are 106 Women Enrolled in this program. New School Admission Support

Our Team works to support School Admission and Attendance of the children that are attending our Education & Nutrition Program. In this month we are pleased to say that a 13 year old boy was admitted into class 7 with the help of our team. After falling out of school, because of a shift back and forth from the family's village home, our team helped his grandparents by talking to the school Headmistress, collecting admission forms and helping them to fill them out and also paying for his admission fees so his schooling could start immediately. The family and this young boy are happy that he can now pursue his formal education as well as receive free tuition and a nutritious meal from our team.
