On 28^th October 2022 our FTBK team distributed clothes to 41 children in the community. The clothes were given to the people in need by some generous local supporters. The children and their families were very happy to receive these gifts.

FTBK runs a Literacy Program for Women in the Community to help to support them to be able to read and write in Bengali. This skill empowers them to care for themselves and their families in a greater way. Spending time together with other women in the Community is a unique opportunity to bond together and support each other. 

Free to be kids’ team run a free education program in six different slums in the Salt Lake area of Kolkata for children in need. In the month Of October 2022, our teaching focussed on simple addition and subtraction, times tables, opposite words, gender, Countries and their capitals, States and their capitals, and paragraph writing. Children below 7 years were taught the Alphabet, numbers, and the spelling of numbers to the children below 7 years of age. Our FTBK team’s focus is to give the children basic education and help them to get admission in the local government school. In this month, 142 children attended this program. Alongside of our Education, we give a nutritious daily meal.  In the month of October 2022, we gave a total of 851 meals.

This Diwali there we had a wonderful celebration with Fireworks, Activities and Food! Children and Staff together enjoyed the occasion!

This Puja Season the children we care for in our Girl's Home were blessed with new clothes from some generous local donors. They were so happy to receive these beautiful new dresses on this occasion.

Free To Be Kids Charitable Trust run a Kids Club Program at Polenite Salt lake area. Kids learn to make various kinds of art and craft, where they spent quality time with FTBK team and learn good behavior and manners. This is the place where the Kids love to come for drawing, singing, dancing, playing and lot of other activities.

FTBK is running Youth Computer Training in the Balarampur Village for the benefit of young people. These Youth attend this training free of cost to help empower them for their studies now and in the future. This training also has the potential to help them in their career as they pursue viable employment. Each Youth that successfully completes this training receives a Certificate to show their accomplishments and to use for their CV.

FTBK runs a Kids Club for the benefit of children living in the Community. These children attend this Kids Club to learn English and to learn to interact well in a social environment. This program is run free of charge and all the children learn the basics of English to support their education now and empower them for a better future.

On 28^th September 2022 Free To Be Kids Charitable Trust arranged a small awareness program in the Polenite area in association with the Rotary Club of Behala. Our Free To Be Kids Charitable Trust Social Worker started the program with the main topic of How to prevent Dengue & Malaria.  Free To Be Kids Trustee Manager welcomed the Rotary Club of Behala president & other one member.  Dr. Siddhartha explained to the community what they should do when they are suffering from dengue. The Doctor advised the community people to use mosquito nets when sleeping, and try to wear full sleeves clothes. After this presentation the Rotary Club distributed mosquito nets for the community member's every day use. Due to the prevalence of Malaria and Dengue today these nets are meant to prevent Malaria and Dengue in the Community each recipient were very happy after getting these nets for their family. A total of 57 families benefited from this awareness program.

On 24^th September 2022, the FTBK Charitable Trust arranged a one day outing at Bakhali Sea Beach for all our Ftbk all staff and Girl's Home children. This was a wonderful way to celebrate together as we enjoy the start of the festive season.
