In March 2023, one family from our Community celebrated their birthday with our Organisation, the family provided a wonderful lunch and education materials for the Children. We enjoyed getting to know some of their history and the way that contribute to society.

On the 16th March FTBK Charitable Trust organised a Water Filter Distribution Program in partnership with the Rotary Club and Inner Wheel Club of Kolkata. 40 villagers gratefully received these necessary water filters. It was also a wonderful surprise for these women to receive items of clothing that they can use in their daily life! We are so thankful for these kind donations that make a big differences in the lives of many in the Community!

FTBK is running Youth Computer Training in the Balarampur Village for the benefit of young people. These Youth attend this training free of cost to help empower them for their studies now and in the future. This training also has the potential to help them in their career as they pursue viable employment. Each Youth that successfully completes this training receives a Certificate to show their accomplishments and to use for their CV.

FTBK runs a Literacy Program for Women in the Community to help to support them to be able to read and write in Bengali. This skill empowers them to care for themselves and their families in a greater way. Spending time together with other women in the Community is a unique opportunity to bond together and support each other. In the month of March 109 Women attended this program!

Free to be Kids’ team runs a free nutrition program in six different slums in the Salt Lake area of Kolkata for children in need. Children of those areas get nutritious food after their tuition program. Free to be Kids’ team makes sure the food is cooked with proper hygiene maintained. In the month of March 2023, 136 children attended and a total 1113 meals were provided to those 136 children.

Free to be Kids’ team continues to run a free education program in six different slums in the Salt lake area of Kolkata for children in need. In this month 136 Children attended our daily program of tuition.

On the 16^th March 2023, FTBK Charitable Trust arranged an awareness on Child Marriage, all FTBK Staffs & children joined this program. The greatest highlight was the feedback from the children on the value of this awareness for their lives both now in the future!

Every year on the 8th March we celebrate International Women's Day to remember the valuable place that women hold in every facet of our society!

NR Motors Mahindra kindly visited our Community Project and distributed snacks to 55 children and encouraged them to focus on their studies and pursue their dreams for the future. We value their interest and support in our work.

On the 25.02. 2023 our team ran a program for the occasion of International Mother Language Day in association with the Rangamala Memorial Development Initiative.  The 55 children in the community participated in recitations of poems and stories and a drawing competition. In addition to the prizes that were given to the best participants, every child received a food packets to take home with them.
