On the 19th March 2024, Free To Be Kids Charitable Trust officially opened it's new Computer Training Centre in Krishnarampur. This is the 9^th batch Computer Application Course that has been run by our team. A total of 18 young people taken admission in this course that will help them build a brighter future for themselves and open up the gateway to further learning.

Free To Be Kids Charitable Trust arranged an Awareness Program for Online Cyber Safety on 16^th March 2024 at our FTBK Office. 91 Children attended this program from our various Community Projects. The teaching included a powerpoint presentation to begin the program with a time of questions and answers for each beneficiary. Children from the Community presented a Drama raising the concern around this important issue. The Children also participated in indoor and outdoor games and enjoyed a lunch together and craft before the completion of the program.

Free To Be Kids Charitable Trust held our Annual Conference on the 20^th to 22^nd March 2024 in the beautiful coastal area of Mandarmani.  All the FTBK staff and Management Team attended this conference along with their families. During the Conference, the FTBK Management Team took sessions on the value of our Trust, the focus of our Mission and Vision and encouraged all Staff in their work and contribution. A wonderful time was held by all together at this event!

On the 8^th February 2024, Free To Be Kids Charitable Trust celebrated our 14^th Foundation Day Anniversary at our Free To Be Kids main office campus. A total of 96 children, who are regular beneficiaries within three of our Project Areas, attended this program. 8 women who are beneficiaries of our Tailoring and Literacy Programs, also participated and proudly presented their skills to everyone in attendance. The Program started with games and fun activities which were enjoyed by both adult and children alike. After that, FTBK Care Leavers performed a dance, and the Management Team presented an activity video and powerpoint. On this occasion a special Education Support presentation was made to support 4 children from the Community with education help. Along with this, a total of 19 Children and Young Adults graduated from our Youth Computer Course and certificates were distributed to each one. As a special gift, the FTBK management team gave education kits and snack boxes to the 96 children who were in attendance. On behalf of our team we want to thank all our supporters that make our work continually successful as we strive to work, and support those who truly need it.

Free To Be Kids’ team run a number of Kid's Clubs in different areas in Kolkata. These clubs are a place where kids learn to make various kind of art and craft and where they spent quality time with together while learning good behavior and manners. This is the place where the kids love to come for drawing, singing, dancing, playing and lot of other activities.

On the 8^th February 2024 we held a Graduation Ceremony for the students of our Youth Computer Course Program. A total of 19 Students received Graduation Certificates; 16 Computer Application Students and 3 Desktop Publishing Students. This graduation ceremony was held at our Free To Be Kids main office. Each student has worked hard to complete this course and we wish them great success as they use this skill to advance in their future education and jobs.

Free To Be Kids team run a free Education & Nutrition Program in six different slums Salt lake Kolkata for the children in need. In this month, 127 children attended this program and 955 Meals were given to support their Nutrition.

On 8^th February 2024, 3 Care Leavers received their Desktop Publishing Computer Certificate. These 3 young people have worked hard to make this achievement and we congratulate them on their commitment to their studies and self improvement. 

Free To Be Kids team runs a free Education & Nutrition Program in six different slums Salt Lake Kolkata for the children in need. In the month of January 2024, Free To Be Kids team-taught Simplify, addition and subtraction of fractional numbers, capital of India and neighboring countries, addition and subtraction of time to the children above 11 years of age. Times table, addition and subtraction, opposite word, number change, gender, Countries and their capitals, States and their capitals, Concept of on and above, paragraph writing to the children of 7years – 10years of age. Alphabet, numbers, concept of slow and fast, concept of empty and full spelling of numbers to the children of below 7years of age. FTBK team’s focus is to give the children basic education and help them to get admission in the local government school. In this month, 140 children attended in this program and 1148 meals were given to these children.

On the 29^th January 2024, Free To Be Kids distributed blankets and special food packs to children living in the Salt Lake Slum Communities, in collaboration with the Tulli Foundation. This winter season, 62 families benefited by receiving these blankets and food packs. We are grateful for the support from the Tulli Foundation towards the beneficiaries that we work with.
