World Earth Day
FTBK team conducted an Awareness Program on the event of WORLD EARTH DAY on the 22nd April 2024, to show support for environmental protection. Earth Day has helped to popularise recycling, offer new energy efficient solutions, create cleaner vehicles, control the depletion of the ozone layer, and much more. This was a wonderful event for the kids and is an important issue for them because some of the families living depends on garbage recycling. Keeping harmful waste, such as light bulbs, batteries etc out of the landfill, helps keep chemicals out of our food and water. The children actively participated in this program and created their own picture to further remind them what they learnt.



World Malaria Day Awareness Program
On the 25th April 2024, Free To Be Kids Charitable Trust organised an Awareness Program on World Malaria Day for 59 Children who attend our Education and Nutrition Program. Teaching Focussed around the topics of:
- What is Malaria?
- How to Recognized a Malaria Mosquito
- Malaria Symptoms
- Malaria Prevention
- Treatment
The children completed their program by drawing pictures to highlight the important of understanding this issue. Our hope is that long term through our programs we can help to make our world malaria free so there is no more loss of life due to this illness.



April 2024 Education & Nutrition Program
Free To Be Kids team run a free Education & Nutrition Program in six different slums Salt lake Kolkata for the children in need. In this month, 129 children attended this program and 1068 Meals were given to support their Nutrition.

Free To Be Kids team run a free Education & Nutrition Program in six different slums Salt lake Kolkata for the children in need. In this month, 126 children attended this program and 904 Meals were given to support their Nutrition.

March 2024 Kids Clubs
Free To Be Kids’ team runs kids clubs in various areas of Kolkata, where kids learn to make various kinds of art and craft, where they spent quality time with FTBK team while learning good behaviour and manners. This is the place where the kids love to come for drawing, singing, dancing, playing and lot of other activities.

March 2024 Literacy Program for Women
FTBK runs this Literacy Program for Women in the Community to help to support them to be able to read and write in Bengali. This skill empowers them to care for themselves and their families in a greater way. Spending time together with other women in the Community is a unique opportunity to bond together and support each other.

March 2024 Tailoring Program
FTBK runs a Tailoring Program reaching 16 Women in the Community to help to support them to create Income. This skill empowers them to care for themselves and their families in a greater way. Spending time together with other women in the Community is a unique opportunity to bond together and support each other.


March 2024 Balarampur Computer Application Course
FTBK is running Youth Computer Training in the Balarampur Village for the benefit of young people. These Youth attend this training free of cost to help empower them for their studies now and in the future. This training also has the potential to help them in their career as they pursue viable employment. Each Youth that successfully completes this training receives a Certificate to show their accomplishments and to use for their CV. Currently, 21 Young People are attending this program!

Mother Language Day 2024
On the 3rd March 2024 International Mother Language Day was celebrated the children of Krishnarampur in collaboration with the Rangamala Memorial Development Incentive (RMDI).A total of 68 children attended this program and participated in a Drawing Competition, Recitation Competition and Open Quiz. The winners of each activity received Educational Gifts as prizes and each child received some refreshments for their active participation in this even that highlights the value of our Mother Tongue.



Cloth Distribution March 2024
FTBK team distributed cloths to children residing in the Slum Communities of Salt Lake Area. A total of 60 children received these clothes. We are so thankful to our generous friends for donating these valuable items to the children in need.
