This July 2021, we were so proud to receive the official news that 2 of our CCI Residents have successfully completed their 12th Class from the Central Board of Secondary Education. Both students were studying in a local English medium school. We wish them both well in their future!

On the 10^th July 2021, our FTBK Children’s Home Counsellor took a group session with all the children. Our Counsellor instructed the children on how to make a Butterfly Kite and taught on the theme of BE FREE. After making their creative kites the children explained to their peers about what it means to them to BE FREE!

The residents of Girls Home enjoy their free time activities and their favourite things to do are using the computers and playing games with their friends! Everyone needs opportunities to develop friendships and to relax during the day and refresh for tomorrow!

On 1^st July 2021 the Child Rights & Trafficking Department of Social Welfare in West Bengal arranged a virtual Educative Session on Ecology Systems.  Children residing in Free To Be Kids Girl's Home attended the session along with children from 11 different CCI's. This educative session was taken by Miss Sanchari Mukhopadhyay, Researcher of Calcutta University Department of Zoology. The children enjoyed participating in this session together.

On the 13th June 2021, Free To Be Kids Charitable Trust Founder & Managing Trustee, Mr. Binu A.S. celebrated his birthday with our Children's Home children.  

On the 11^th June 2021, FTBK Children’s Home Residential Staff and FTBK Boy’s Home Inmate had the opportunity to receive their first COVAXIN DOSE

This was made possible through the work of  the Directorate of Child Rights and Trafficking, Department of Women & Child Development, West Bengal and the District Child Protection Unit, Kolkata

On the 29th June 2021, the District Child Protection Unit- Kolkata Counsellor took a session with the FTBK Girls Home Children via the use of online support. He asked children about their daily time table, what they are currently learning, how online classes are going on.The Children responded very well. Also the girls performed dances and played the piano and sang a song together.

Free To Be Kids Charitable Trust provided meals to children in 7 different slums in the Salt Lake Area, in the month of June 2021. 170 students were regular in this Nutrition Program and a total of 603 meals were provided.

On 23^rd June 2021, the FTBK team visited the Canning Area and gave ration items to 3 families. These families were very much in need and appreciative of this support since there has been loss of income during this Pandemic and they have been facing many hardships and challenges. 

In the month of June, we have been able to support 2 Community Women who were suffering from breathing issues with the help of the donated Oxygen Machines. The recipients and their families were very happy to receive this level of support that gave life, breath and peace of mind!
