Children always enjoy the opportunity to celebrate and this year they enjoyed the friendship and fun at Holi Time.

This year we celebrated 8 years of our Free To Kids Charitable Trust! It was a fun celebration together with our wonderfully supportive local Community Members.  We are thankful to work together to provide a place of safety and development for the Children in our care!

Every child has the right to Education! It is our privilege to be able to support children to reach their education goals. Through our support we see that they are able to have the necessary requirements to gain success in their studies!

Earlier this year we were excited to receive Surprise Gifts to be able to distribute in a special program with a number of different Children's Home Children in our area.  The Children participated by showcasing their dance, rhyme, song and general knowledge skills! We were honoured by a number of prestigious guests who joined us for this program and distributed snacks for all the children.

Everyone loves to eat and having the chance to learn a new skill to cook something tasty is something children love to experience. These girls have learn't the art of creating Jam Drop biscuits that they can eat and share with others!

Every Child has unique gifts and talents and we love to see the Children in our Care thrive in theirs.  Recently they had an opportunity to show case their talents in the local school fair.

Part of the work we do includes visiting families in need in the community and helping to secure education opportunities for children. In one such case we are supporting the study of a girl, who due to the failure of a subject in Class 12 in the previous year, gave up on her dream to continue to study and became a farming labourer. She is now receiving tuition and is again enrolled in her studies to give her final exams in March 2018. She has big plans to continue her studies in the future, focussing on being trained to be an educator.

We love the way that the girls are developing their tailoring skills. Here they are proudly showing off a couple of the outfits they have recently made.  We know that these skills are going to be helpful for their futures and gives them an option to be able to supplment their income if necessary.

We are true believers in the practical application of knowledge that assist in necessary lessons to be learnt and remembered for a lifetime. We recently had a lot of fun with our First Aid Training Sessions and who knows just how this may help us to save a life in the future, and in the very least help us to take good care of those around us.

During the recent Festival Seasons we have made the most of celebrating with the children in our care, and remembering the many blessings that we have received.
