Rotary Club Program & Support
Free To Be Kids Charitable Trust conducted a program in conjunction with the Rotary Club Behala within our Krishnarampur Community Target Area. The generous members of the Rotary Club distributed mattresses to the village women who attend our regular Literacy Classes. In addition to this the members pledged to support the running costs of the program and gave the first monetary donation to this project. We are very thankful for this level of partnership and support.


Republic Day 2021
Free To Be Kids Boys and Girls celebrated Republic Day with a Program together. On that day they spent their time playing games and involved in fun activities . The Management team provided special food for the children so they could truly enjoy and build great memories together.

Women's Literacy Classes
Free To Be Kids continues to run our Women's Literacy Classes in the Community. The women actively participate in their learning and are happy to have access to this opportunity that not only empowers them but their families also.

New Years Celebration

Christmas Celebrations
On 24th December 2020 we held a Christmas Eve party for the Children and Staff of FTBK. Everyone enjoyed delicious food like Momos, Chicken Tandoori, Fish fry, Chowmein and Phuchka.
Free To Be Kids boys and girls celebrated a Christmas Day Programme together. They prepared and performed dances, songs and a drama programme. On that day the children ate a special meal of fried rice, chilly chicken and cake, distributed by Free To Be Kids. Each child received new clothes as part of the celebrations. A wonderful festival was enjoyed by all.



Education Help
Free To Be Kids Charitable Trust are happy to provide financial help to a young local community member in the Krishnarampur Area. The support was for her educational purpose and covered her admission fees and study materials so she could continue her dream of being educated.

Computer Course Graduates
Free To Be Kids Charitable Trust conducted a Computer Course for youth boys and girls in the Balarampur Area. 26 participant actively attended the programme and received Certificates in recognition of their skills development.

Official Visits
We recently had a visit from the Legal Cum Probation Officer from the District Child Protection Unit. During his visit, the Officer had a meeting with Free To Be Kids Tuition teacher, Counsellor and Home Superintendent for the growth and development of the children in our Care. He also met with the children and discussed their needs and daily activities. We were happy to have this time to ask questions and also receive value feedback.

Blanket Distribution
Free To Be Kids Charitable Trust distributed 500 blankets in the Salt Lake Slum area and Krishnarumpur. The Beneficiaries were underprivileged children and families from seven slum areas, plus one village. All the recipients were very thankful and happy to receive the gifts. These blankets will help to maintain their warmth and good health through the cold season. Plus in addition to this, they are colourful reminder that someone cares for them!



Awareness Programs on Sanitation and Hygiene
We ran a number of Community Based Programs. The focus of these programs were on the Awareness of Sanitation and Hygiene maintenance. The beneficiaries were youth living in the areas of Thakurpukur, Krishnarampur and Balarumpur. Mr. Pradip Barui and Mr. Nirmal Sarkar were the speakers in the programme.
