We started the day with a small Inauguration Programme to welcome our chief guests. Our Free To Be Kids Charitable Trust Founder gave special welcome to Miss Leena who completed her Nursing Degree through the support of FTBK. She attended the program to help as a volunteer and give back for all the years of support she has gratefully received. Our Free Health Check-up Camp started with an explanation of all protocol and guidelines of COVID -19 safety. A total of 100 people participated in this camp with most coming from our Literacy Training group that runs this area.
Temperatures were checked, masks were given out and sanitiser was available for all participants. Each participant also received the special gift of an apple to take home for their better health. Every participant had their weight, height, blood sugar and blood pressured checked. Participants had the opportunity to consult with a Gynaecologist and were given advice on how to maintain their best health, especially through a nutritious diet. Electrocardiographs were also completed for each participant with the follow up consultation and advise given by the Cardiologist. The Drs gave suggestions for any medicine or further tests the participants made need in the future. In this pandemic situation, this Free Health Check-up Camp is very valuable for people living in this area and each participant greatly benefited from this camp.
